My name is Kristin and I'm the creator of Live Your Dream Italy.
Like a lot of people, I got interested in buying a house in Italy during the Covid pandemic. But instead of trying for a one-euro house, I discovered how many incredible, affordable, fully habitable homes there are on the regular open market and became somewhat obsessed. And I still am! After years of being a little frustrated by not having anyone to share them with (apart from my pretty disinterested friends and family) I decided to turn my passion into this project.
So, since September 2024 I’ve been curating weekly emails of unique, habitable homes in desirable locations which are for sale in Italy for under €150,000 for subscribing members on Patreon and Substack and sharing some for free on YouTube and Facebook just for fun.
I’m not a realtor or home finder and don’t receive any fees, commissions or kickbacks for the homes I feature. I just love finding and sharing beautiful properties.
Then, in June 2025, one of my best friends and I bought an amazing home together in a completely unexpected location - a small village in the mountainous Barbagia area of Sardinia. I had actually featured it in a Live Your Dream Italy “Case Che Amiamo” video on YouTube in November 2024 but had honestly completely forgotten about it. Then when they made a price reduction of €8,000 the following May, I got a notification. We decided to go for it and six weeks later were lucky enough to buy it.
We bought it completely sight unseen and fully furnished for €40,000. With commission, taxes, fees, etc. it came to a total of €52,000.
I’m now passionate about helping other find their perfect home then easily and confidently buy it.
